New CEO: Digital Leader Johannes Keienburg Joins HitFox Group

Founder Jan Beckers Becomes Executive Chairman

Berlin, November 22, 2018. The HitFox Group today announces that Johannes Keienburg will be joining the management team as new CEO. Keienburg, an experienced digital leader with background in healthcare and advertising, is the ideal fit to complement HitFox’s existing management team of founder and previous CEO Jan Beckers and co-founder and CFO Hendrik Krawinkel. Beckers will take over a new role as Executive Chairman of the Group while staying the major shareholder. 

Beckers founded HitFox in 2011 and was ever since heavily involved in operations. Given the continued growth of the HitFox group, Jan’s new role as Executive Chairman allows him to focus on strategy and investments as well as sparring with the founders of the HitFox subsidiary companies. Jan will remain an active board member of the fintech platform finleap and Chairman of the digital health platform Heartbeat Labs.

Keienburg has long-time experience in the areas of digital strategy, healthcare, and advertising technology. He initially started his career as a journalist, working for the German state broadcaster ARD. In 2011, Keienburg joined McKinsey, where he worked for international Healthcare companies. In 2014, Johannes joined the German-based broadcaster and digital investor ProSiebenSat.1 as EVP Group Strategy and MD Digital. Also, Johannes was responsible for the Group’s Data Strategy. Since 2017, he has been developing IoT solutions in the area of sleeping & health for a portfolio company of the private equity firm KKR and was Board member of the US-based sleep tech Start-up ReST. 

In his new role as CEO, Keienburg will take over the operational responsibility for the further development of the digital health platform Heartbeat Labs together with Hendrik Krawinkel and the two managing directors, Eckhardt Weber and Stephanie Kaiser. In the future, Jan Beckers will continue to work closely with HitFox’s management team of Keienburg and Krawinkel, as well as with the management of Heartbeat Labs and finleap.
