We are looking for a motivated Quantitative Analyst (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin.

In this role, you will support the launch and management of two new derivatives strategies across the most liquid asset classes, such as Equity Index Options/Futures and Bond Options/Futures to name a few. You will start to collaborate with the team on the development of the infrastructure for a volatility strategy and progress to a role in portfolio management. You will primarily support the team with software development in Python especially by building a robust database framework and portfolio management solution that will center around a backtesting platform. In addition, you will do research on a variety of topics including signals and portfolio optimization. Further, you will learn how to execute trades, run a portfolio and how the middle- and back-office operations work.


  • Data:
  • Search for appropriate data sources
  • Support the development of an internal infrastructure for market data
  • Portfolio Management:
  • Support the development of a backtesting platform for different strategies including data organization, configurations of strategy, position generation, and dashboards
  • Execution of the strategies and backup other team members
  • Administrative tasks required by the business
  • Research:
  • Idea generation for new signals and backtesting ideas
  • Apply state-of-the art methods to different problems regarding portfolio management such as signal generation, trade sizing, and portfolio construction/allocation


  • Master/PhD in a technical discipline like Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, CS or similar
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, as well as knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge about liquid markets, trading and pricing is preferred but not required
  • Curiosity, teamwork, and drive is key, other important qualities include attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, German would be beneficial
  • Very high standards for your work, a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver the best-in-class results
